The Land
Hinsdale County residents are in the unique position of living in an area
that consists of over 90% public land.  One of goals is land preservation
through the development of land trusts.  If we are successful, we have
helped to establish sites that will remain some of the few, truly unspoiled
areas.  Land trusts, through the designation of conservation easements
and land donations, are one of the last avenues left to protect our natural
resources from change and development.

Through the work of our organization and with your help through
charitable tax-deductible contributions, we can insure that the Lake Fork
Valley will not follow the course of other Colorado regions that are now
losing the battle to over-development.

A trust conservationist is a
man who knows that the world
is not given by his fathers
but borrowed from his children.
