OUR MISSION
To facilitate long term environmental sustainability in the Lake Fork of the Gunnison valley through collaborative and sustainable actions that foster land conservation, ecosystem health, and community resiliency.

OUR VISION

We envision the Lake Fork of the Gunnison River drainage as a healthy watershed, defined by a balance of resource conservation, economic opportunity, recreational activities, and community values. We envision a broad-based partnership of an educated citizenry, nonprofit groups, and governmental entities that sustains, protects, and improves the health of the watershed.

Who's Involved?

The Lake Fork Valley Conservancy is comprised of our staff, our board of directors, and a technical advisory committee, Formerly known as the Lake Fork Watershed Stakeholders.

The advisory committee is a partnership of citizens, private entities, local organizations, and government. The group came together in 2002 to enhance understanding of the resources and impacts within our valley, and to initiate a collaborate, community effort to proactively address these issues.

Visit our Staff and Board page for profiles of the folks involved in the nitty gritty of LFVC's operations. Visit Partners and Supporters for links to the organizations we rely on.
