The Lake City Dark Sky Summit is a gathering of astronomy and dark sky professionals from across Colorado's Western Slope region. The event will feature guest speakers from the International Dark-Sky Association as well as industry leaders from both government agencies and non-government organizations. Attendees will also have a chance to share updates from their region during a round-robin info session (sign-up in advance). Of course, night sky viewing is on the docket!

The Dark Sky Summit is the kick-off event for the Lake City Star Fest, which runs from June 9-11. This Lake City Star Fest is open to the public and will feature family friendly events such as a solar telescope viewing party, space themed film festival at the Mountaineer Theater, Astro-art at Lake City Arts, stargazing sessions with Phillip Virden and more!
